These classes will be held at my home in rural Mackinaw. 34360 Runyon Rd.
Upon receipt of registration form, liability waiver, and course fee I will mail out to you a confirmation of the class/classes registered for as well as the directions and a tool list.
If you decide not to take a class please take the time to let me know. In order to receive course fees back you need to notify me no later than 10 days before the start of the course. This enables me to have enough time to try and contact another person to let them have the option of taking the class.
Description of Workshops
Building Rustic Garden Structures
You will learn about various types of garden structures (such as a wattle weave fence, a border fence, trellis, teepee, etc) a demo will be done on some of them and you will build and take home a completed trellis.
Building a Rustic Table
In this course you will learn about the types of wood used, how to create the 2 types of joinery: both a lap joint and a butt joint that will be used in the project and the actual hands on building of a rustic table.
For those wanting to learn how to make rustic furniture this is a great easy to learn first project to start with.
Building a Rustic Willow Chair
In this course you will learn where to find material to work with, how to cut it, the tools needed, the types of joints used in rustic furniture, short lecture/demo on how to build a chair and the actual hands on of building a rustic chair that you will be able to take home and enjoy for years to come.
