Touch of Rustic has resulted from our desire to create rustic, yet refined,
furnishings for use in our own home. Now we would like to share our
creations with those who would also enjoy one-of-a-kind handmade
furnishings. We strive to bring the spirit of nature into our living spaces
to remind us that we still have a connection to the natural world. I prefer
to work with froe and drawknife to split out pieces of oak, walnut, cherry,
and ash which I fashion into chairs, tables, and stools. My wife especially
enjoys working with twigs and branches to make her furniture. Our rustic
furniture is sustainable in that many pieces are constructed from
storm-damaged trees, overcrowded saplings, and sometimes just cutoffs from
