Poet, Artisan, Craftsman David Wedge was born in St. Louis, Mo. June 11, 1941.A Restaurant Designer or some 15 years following a midlife crisis he went on to working in various circuses training lions, tigers, elephants and camels for some 12 years followed by another 21 years twisting balloons to maintain his independent life style. He settled in North Ga. in ' 97 and after chain sawing bears for a couple of years moved on to carving southwestern style bear fetishes and constructing Mountain Laurel furniture which he now continues to do.
These tables are made from Mountain Laurel which grows in the Ellijay, Georgia central area, about 50 miles south of the Tenn. line.
