Hardwoods Rustic Furniture is about one-of-a-kind quality
rustic furniture. It is an artform comprising elegant and
innovative usage of natural hardwoods to create functional
pieces from nature. Harvest Hardwoods brings together two
craftsmen, Stan Steeves and Chuck Phinney, each with over
30 years experience in wood harvesting, interpretation and
master craftsmanship.
On
our site you will find pieces available for sale.
Additionally, we are happy to work with you to design and
craft furniture pieces to meet your special requirements.

Dee
Carnelli

I
am a sculptor who has turned my talents and skills to building rustic furniture.
The creative process is the same as forming a work of art. My one-of-a-kind
pieces are just that. An element of surprise is always present as the design is
altered and worked to create a harmonious balance between nature's beauty and
functional design.
Each piece of wood is carefully chosen. During the winter days you can find me
with snow shoes on and sled in tow as I harvest nature's supply of native birch,
moose wood and willow from deep in my back woods. Back in the studio the wood is
processed and dried. I then visualize what it is meant to be. Transformation
takes place.
I love the quality of old weathered wood for my table tops and chairs. Time and
history leaves a mark that cannot be duplicated making a perfect organic match
to the beauty of nature. I enhance this beauty with the warm rich finish of hand
rubbed wax. Bark, pine cones and acorns provide the decorative touch.

Spector’s European style rustic furnishings suggest nature with a nod to
history.
Selected by author
Jennifer Litwin as “one of North America’s ten best newly-discovered furniture
designers,” her work is unique in that it explores the connection between nature
and the decorative arts.
“I love to blur the line between rustic and
refined and am always amazed at how easily my source material lends itself to
that exchange. Nature has always inspired the decorative arts
