As an Adirondack Rustic worker I have had many workshops and chances to display and demonstrate. Some of these include the Adirondack Museum Rustic Fair, the Blue Mountain Center for the Arts, the Newcomb visitor interpretive Center, as well as numerous craft shows, and school groups. I have rustic furnishings in many states and locations, including Walt Disney World in Florida.

I  make rustic furnishings for wholesale, retail, and custom markets. My rustic woodworking is creative and unique, using only quality native woods. I make a large variety of rustic wood products ranging from twig pencils to king sized beds. I use wood from storm damage, logging areas, and land clearing, to create side tables, stands, benches, chairs, stools, lamps, beds, and clocks. I specialize in white birch bark applications to frames, mirrors, clocks, signs, decorative boxes and rustic furnishings.

I have a love and feel for the Adirondacks and conserve the natural beauty of the environment in my work working. I enjoy working with people.  I have many interests that include travel, photography, computer graphics, and outdoor recreation,

Bruce Wight is a fifth-generation Adirondack native an industrial arts teacher for thirty four years, (now retired) a father of four children with two loving granddaughters, an active rustic woodworkers and small business owner for fifteen years, a soccer coach for thirty two years, an adult education instructor for thirty four years.
